Rosie and Marcus got married in the summer at the spectacular Hayne House, which is a modern eco- friendly venue in Saltwood, Hythe, Kent. It was the most beautiful wedding and even the rain didn’t dampen the day!

Getting Ready

Rosie got ready in the bridal suite with her fabulous friends and family, and the atmosphere was absolutely electric. Prep was awesome, with all the girls laughing, having loads of fun, and making sure Rosie had the best prep ever. The wedding party then walked together to get to the ceremony. The Bride walked down the green walk to the end where some last minute touch ups were made. Marcus got ready at the Hythe Imperial, with the groomsmen, and his family. He travelled to the ceremony in a fancy wedding car. Waiting at the top of the aisle for Rosie, you could see Marcus’ nerves starting to show through.

Getting Hitched

The ceremony was a beautiful service in the garden. The garden was beautiful with a duo of musicians playing in the background, a flower wall; everything was beautiful. During the ceremony they had a beautiful reading. It was so emotional and a real tear-jerker. Rosie & Marcus tied the knot, then head down the aisle to a shower of confetti!

The Reception

The reception was in the orangery at the venue. They chose Hayne House because it is eco-friendly and they just fell in love with it. It was a summer wedding, which had so many special touches, the place cards were gorgeous green leaves which had gorgeous calligraphy on them. I love shooting Hayne House weddings because the grounds are just incredible. The Orangery is full of light, and has the potential to be styled in so many ways. Each table sported an envelope which had a message stating not to open until the Best Men’s Speech. This was a tad daunting, and once opened on instruction from the Best Men – there was a semi-naked photograph of the groom. It definitely provided a lot of amusement.

They had drinks and canapés in the afternoon, and a photo booth in the evening. Rosie & Marcus’ Wedding was definitely a favourite of mine, the guests, the Bride & Groom were all fabulous. They decorated the venue with beautiful white flowers and gorgeous green leaves, because they love the outdoors. I absolutely loved this wedding – and Hayne House is definitely a gorgeous venue in Kent.

The Couple

The couple met at school and have been together for years. They got in touch with me 12 months before the big day and their enquiry was so personal. They said they wanted a relaxed photographer, and I really liked that they just wanted to party. Rosie & Marcus wanted someone to capture their day in a documentary style – which fits me perfectly.

Rosie and Marcus’s wedding was everything I love about weddings and had such a fun atmosphere. Here’s their wonderful wedding!
