Should I have a Scent at my Wedding?

Blog by Married In Kent

And we don’t mean Perfume…

Scents will inspire memories, and by including a scent at your wedding not only will you awaken your guests’ emotions, but also their other senses too, and when they smell the scent that you use, they will be transported back to your wedding day.

When choosing your scent remember that subtlety is better than potency, consider using them during your ceremony, but sparingly though your wedding breakfast so that the scent doesn’t become overpowering and mix with the food. It is important to ensure that the fragrances you pick also compliment your flowers.

Before going out and buying candles or wax melts, it is important to check with your venue if they allow open flames, if not then you will need to settle with reed diffusers.

You could also give your guests a mini candle, wax melt, or diffuser as a favour, for them to burn at home to remind them of your magical day.
