We started doing a couple of wedding fairs in 2016, just to see if the idea of glamping would be of interest to brides who loved all things festival, like we do here at Beneath the Canopy HQ. Three years later, it’s safe to say the idea definitely caught on!
We provide fully furnished, beautiful bell tent hire for weddings, festivals, parties and events.
We use soulpad bell tents with sewn in ground sheets. They are really high quality tents and as the bases aren’t zipped in, we don’t get dampness inside. Our clients getting a good nights sleep is our priority.
I love seeing peoples reactions to the bell tents when they are set up. It’s hard for people to visualise how their bell tent village will look, then when they do they love it! I especially like seeing the reaction of couples when they their honeymoon bell tent, we’ve had a few happy tears over the years and its wonderful to be part of that.
Our guest login service has been a big hit. we create a webpage for our clients, so that guests can book directly, taking all the stress away from them.
We have a small office based team and some experienced summer staff that man our events. We take on additional seasonal staff from May to September and have a lot of fun in the sunshine during those times.
We work a lot in Kent. We do find that many of our couples have land to use for their weddings as there is so much green space in Kent, it’s a beautiful county. This year we collaborated with a Kent based tipi company ‘Big day event’ tipi’s for their open day and got some great feedback.

Green and yellow are my got to colours. Our staff uniform is green and I always dress my daughter in yellow, my little ray of sunshine!
I do love a badger! Such a special part of British wildlife. at home we have a dog, cat and guinea pigs.

We ordered 10 tents for our wedding in June. The company offered a great package deal and we had a special honeymoon tent for the bride and groom. We had a festival wedding so they looked amazing against the backdrop of the Tipis we had as the main event tent (part of the venue hire).
All our guests were very happy with the tents and some had never been camping before so were initially a bit nervous. The outcome was very positive and they were all very happy with the cleanliness and comfortable mattresses which did not go down in the middle of the night! (They gave us a spare pump in case they would have!)
Overall very happy and not sure why they’re aren’t more reviews on google as Elise is great and the team were so friendly!
