Essential Bridal Prep for your Wedding in Kent

Besides having your Hair and Makeup done for your big day, there is plenty of bridal preparation that can be done in advance, to make sure your day runs as smoothly as possible. Here are a few of our suggestions:

Brows
If you’re going for a simple eyebrow tidy, then we would advise to book an appointment about three days before the wedding to avoid any regrowth and to allow time for any redness to settle.

Waxing
If you’re looking for finer hair and reduced overall hair growth, then consider a monthly waxing course at least 12 weeks before your wedding. Schedule in final pre-wedding wax two or three days in advance, so that you have plenty of time to reduce any soreness or redness.

Nails
You may wish to experiment in the months leading up to your wedding, the style and colour of nails you would like for your special day. If you opt for a gel treatment, then one or two days before the wedding will be the optimal time to avoid accidental chips.

Tan
To avoid any streaky disasters, it may be best to ditch the self-tan, and visit a professional for a spray tan. You may wish to experiment with different Spray Tans on the run-up to your wedding, so you find your right colour, and how it looks on your skin. We recommend booking your first trial at least 6 weeks before the ceremony, and a day or so before you make-up trial or further dress fittings, so you can see what your makeup and dress will look like with you tan.

Lash Extensions
There are numerous reasons why brides-to-be get their lashes done before their special day, with the main reason being the promise of smudge free perfect lashes for your photographs. There are so many different types of lashes to choose from, so don’t worry if you’d rather have more natural-looking lashes, there is an option for you. If you’re a first timer to lash extensions, if may be best to have a trial a couple of months before hand to make sure you like them and to get used to them. For those with more Lash experience the week leading up to your wedding is the prime time.

Facial
Almost every bride’s goal is to have clear and radiant skin for their wedding day. By booking a course of facials prior to the day, this will ensure your skin is looking its best. Try bookings your first facial at least three months in advance, so that you can fit in a few treatments, and to give plenty of time in case of unexpected reactions.

Massage
After the months, and sometimes, years of wedding planning, you need to find time to relax. Massages can leave you feeling soothed and rejuvenated, and the most important part, it’s a bit of you time.
