Chafford Park Estate, a family-run wedding venue on the Kent and Sussex border, has created three packages for couples to choose from in order to host an exceptional micro wedding.
A micro wedding means that you can invest into each and every detail of the day to ensure that it is a celebration like no other. Typically, micro weddings host 15-30 guests which leaves you with a lot of room to be more extravagant in your planning.
Our ceremony barn is a recently and beautifully converted hop barn, licensed for civil wedding ceremonies, which is the perfect place to say ‘I DO!’. The hop barn has a minimalistic charm perfect for personalising, enabling you to create your dream wedding. With huge glass doors that look out onto the Picking FIeld, the room is filled with rays of natural light during the day and for evening light, the room is fitted with beautiful, unique antler chandeliers that radiate an unspoken elegance.
Once you have exchanged your vows, occupy your guests with some fun outdoor cocktails on the green whilst the ceremony barn is set up for the reception. While the wedding barns are typically used for larger weddings you can use this to your advantage. Fill the space differently. You can use Locate To Create’s long, rustic tables to fill the space in the barn and decorate the room with flowers and plants transporting your guests into a barn filled with bloom – the very same barn you just exchanged your vows in!

Our next option adds an intimate and festival vibe to your Micro Wedding. At Chafford Park Estate we can accommodate the whole festival package. We’re talking tipis, yurts, tents – your wish is our command.
Host your ceremony in our beautiful hop barn, described in option 1, and then host your reception drinks and wedding breakfast in a fabulous tipi from our glamping partner Tribeca Tipis. The Nordic tipis are very unique in shape, colour and design and enable you to teleport your guests to a unique experience.
With a smaller guest list you can really make a weekend of it and accommodate all of your guests to stay overnight on-site. So, with everyone al-fresco sleeping over, there is no need to consider hotels or taxis, and more importantly, there are no farewells!
You can choose to have the tipi set up beside the ceremony barns on the green which would work perfectly if you choose camping and glamping as your accommodation. If you are looking for something different for your guests, staying in a pop-up bell tent in our wild meadow field doesn’t mean they have to give up their home comforts. The 5-metre bell tents are perfect for stylish, fun-seeking and luxury-loving campers. The bohemian luxe furnished tents come equipped with beautiful rugs and comfortable beds, ensuring that your guests sleep in luxury. Hire a breakfast van for the morning and let your guests wake up and eat amongst nature.
Or, place the tipi on the front lawn allowing the Manor house to create a stunning backdrop for you and your guests and would work perfectly if you choose to use The Manor House as your very own accommodation.
The Manor House is not only available for your accommodation, but you can also use it to host your reception drinks. Exchange your vows in the ceremony barn and then walk towards the manor house to have drinks on the front lawn before entering the house for your reception.
Our 18th Century Georgian Manor House is our pride and joy and places you at the very heart of the estate with its timeless elegance, charm and luxurious boutique style. Initially a 17th-century farmhouse, each room is individually styled. Each space is filled with romance and a taste that pays tribute to the house’s history.
Host your intimate wedding reception drinks in the drawing-room which overlooks the beautiful garden. If it’s a summer’s day open the doors, or if there’s a chill in the air why not light the fire and let the room fill with warmth. Next, move to the dining room, the function here is clear and turn your small number of guests to your advantage. Create the most luxury intimate private dining experience for them, for instance, add in an extra course (remember, with fewer guests you can now enjoy a longer dinner).
